MBIA is committed to your health and safety by providing free on-site medical services for passengers and airport staff.

If you have any last-minute medical needs, visit our Nurse’s Station located in the Arrivals Hall, where a qualified nurse is available provide first aid, emergency services and manages public health issues.

In cases requiring further treatment, ambulance transfers to the nearest hospital can be arranged.

For emergencies, dial 911 or alert the nearest airport representative. Please note that no doctors are on-site, and prescriptions, medical certificates, or vaccinations cannot be issued.

FLIGHT INFORMATION DISPLAY SYSTEM (FIDS)

Stay up to date on the status of your flight

Stay up to date with your flight status using the airport’s Flight Information Display System (FIDS).

These screens are conveniently located throughout the terminal and provide real-time updates on flight arrivals and departures.

Our FIDS ensures you have accurate and timely updates on all arrival and departure schedules, helping you travel with confidence and ease.

POSTAL SERVICES

Send last-minute letters and postcards

Sending a postcard or mailing a last-minute letter is simple at Maurice Bishop International Airport.

A convenient post box is located on the landside in the Public Concourse of the Departure Hall, allowing passengers to send letters and postcards before their flight.

Please note that all mail is subject to security screening and may be inspected by Customs prior to dispatch, ensuring a secure and reliable process.

Conveniently located just outside the Arrivals Hall in the Car Rental Wing, the GTA team is ready to provide details on accommodation, transportation, attractions, and activities across the island.

Whether you’re looking for hotel recommendations, places of interest, or general travel guidance, friendly representatives are available to help.

The office is open Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, ensuring you have access to expert advice as soon as you arrive.

Traveling can be stressful, and it’s easy to misplace something along the way. At Maurice Bishop International Airport (MBIA), we understand how important your belongings are—and we’re here to help you recover them.

Lost Items on the Aircraft

If you believe you left something onboard your flight, please note that these items are handled directly by your airline. Contact your airline’s customer service for assistance.

 Missing or Damaged Baggage

If your baggage is delayed, missing, or damaged, please contact your airline or its ground handling company immediately for assistance.

It is essential to report any issues before leaving the airport to ensure proper documentation and a smooth resolution process.

For faster service, keep your baggage tag handy when speaking with an airline representative.

 Items Lost at MBIA

If you misplaced an item at the security checkpoint or in common areas of the airport, MBIA operates its own Lost & Found service through the Security Department.

Here’s how to start the process:

  1. Complete the Contact Form
    Provide accurate details about your lost item. The more information you share, the better we can assist you.
  2. Item Identification
    Our team will review your submission and compare it with items found. If we locate a match, we’ll notify you promptly.
  3. Claim Your Item
    Once confirmed, we’ll guide you through the steps to safely reclaim your belongings.

SMOKING AREAS

Where to smoke before your flight

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the airport terminal.

If you need to smoke, please do so before entering the security checkpoint in designated outdoor areas.

For your convenience, cigarette disposal receptacles are provided—please use them to keep our airport clean and safe.

PORTER SERVICES (RED CAPS)

Say Goodbye to Heavy Lifting

Make your journey stress-free with our reliable Porter Service at Maurice Bishop International Airport.

From curbside to check-in or from baggage claim to your waiting transport, our professional porters handle all your luggage needs with care and efficiency.

You can easily spot them in the Arrivals Hall – Baggage Reclaim Area, wearing distinctive red caps and shirts.

LUGGAGE TROLLEYS

Convenience at Your Fingertips

If you prefer to handle your own bags, luggage trolleys are available in the Baggage Reclaim Hall for your convenience.

Renting a trolley costs XCD $10.00 per trolley, and payment is accepted in cash only.

These trolleys make it easy to transport your luggage through the terminal without the hassle of heavy lifting—perfect for those who want independence and ease while traveling.

PET RELIEF AREAS

A stress-free pit stop for you and your furry companion.

Traveling with Your Canine Companion or Pet? We’re delighted to welcome your furry friend to MBIA!

A relief area for service animals/pets has been designated in the garden area of the old public car park, eastern side of the airport (Next to the Air Terminal Building).

Owners/Caregivers must clean any urine or faeces produced by animals while on the airport.

Please be sure to bring a bag to clean up whenever necessary and dispose of same in the bins provided.
